Assess the quality and connectivity of the habitats targeted by the project

It is necessary to assess the state of conservation of the grasslands and meadows in the project area before undertaking any protection and restoration measures. We also know that some of the habitats targeted by the project are also present outside Natura 2000 sites. It is important to identify these habitats because they can act as relays or biological corridors between natural areas of great interest, which is essential for encouraging the dispersal of species (individuals, diaspores, pollen or pollinators) and gene exchanges between populations.

The LIFE team will therefore be carrying out a major inventory to locate these environments and assess their state of conservation.
